Dr. Mariann Ghaly combines precision and creativity to make a meaningful impact on people’s health and confidence. Born in Tennessee and raised in Charlotte, NC, she enjoys helping others directly, whether relieving discomfort or enhancing a smile. Her approach is thoughtful and patient-focused, blending careful attention to detail with modern, evidence-based techniques.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Ghaly’s interest in dentistry began in high school and deepened through college, drawn to a path that unites science and artistry. Volunteering at clinics serving underserved communities revealed how profoundly she could help others, from easing pain to restoring confidence. These experiences inspired her to pursue a career where she could make a tangible, positive impact on people’s lives every day.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Ghaly earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine in 2017. She then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, gaining advanced training in dental surgery, endodontics, and Invisalign treatment, earning her Invisalign certification during residency. She spent several years practicing in a busy multi-doctor setting in North Carolina, providing comprehensive care to a wide range of patients.

Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Ghaly earned her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2025 after completing more than 500 hours of continuing education. She is also an active member of the:

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Away from dentistry, Dr. Ghaly enjoys exploring new trails, experimenting with recipes, and spending time with her husband and their goldendoodle, Lily. She comes from a globally connected family and recently relocated to the DFW area to start a new chapter. A unique fact about her is that she can read and write an ancient language, reflecting her curiosity and love of learning beyond her career.
