Meet the Doctors
Kristina Mackie, DDS
Although born in Omaha, NE, Dr. Mackie considers herself a true Texan as she grew up in McAllen, TX, a city just slightly north of Texas-Mexico border. Dr. Mackie first discovered her love of dentistry at a young age and began pursuing this passion by attending Med High, a health professionals magnet high school in Mercedes, TX. Upon graduation, she continued her studies at the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) where, in her sophomore year, she gained acceptance into the Dental Early Admission Program (DEAP) affiliated with the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA). She graduated Cum Laude from UTSA with a B.S. in Biology and ultimately obtained her D.D.S. in 2006 from UTHSCSA receiving recognition for clinical excellence.
Dr. Mackie is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and has participated in the DFW Study Club, an affiliate of the prestigious Seattle Study Club, since it’s inception. The DFW Study Club allows her to meet with colleagues, including specialists, in a peer-based forum to discuss a variety of topics including interdisciplinary treatment planning and advances in technology. Dr. Mackie ensures she obtains well over the state-required CE in order to best serve her patients.
On a personal note, Dr. Mackie and her husband, Tom, have 3 girls. She enjoys watching her children flourish academically and athletically, often attending soccer games on the weekends.
As a dentist, Dr. Mackie understands the significance of the doctor-patient relationship and works closely with every patient to facilitate meeting their needs and expectations. It is her great privilege to utilize her skills and knowledge to serve the community and her objective to ensure each patient receives the most comprehensive dental care with a compassionate heart.
Caroline Miller, DDS
Dr. Miller is moving to the North Texas area from Houston with her husband, Jerrod. She graduated from UT Health Houston School of Dentistry where she served as a member and President of UTSD’s chapter of the Christian Medical Dental Association, served on the ASDA Advocacy Committee, ASDA Community Service Committee, and participated in the FellowTrack program for the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Miller continues to be a member of CMDA and the AGD and is certified through the Academy of Laser Dentistry and Invisalign.
During treatment and visits, Dr. Miller focuses on making each patient feel comfortable and cared for. She understands how stressful and scary dental visits can be and works to alleviate those feelings with reassurance and gentle hands. Building relationships with her patients and improving their oral health, which ultimately improves overall health, is Dr. Miller’s primary goal.
Love everyone I've encountered here! I was told about Dr. Mackie a few months ago and just wish I'd known about her sooner! She is very thorough and kind. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I don't mind and actually look forward to my visits!
